Who we are

What this website collects

Nothing, directly. These pages are static files. There are no cookies, no analytics, no advertising or social media trackers, no embedded third-party scripts, and nothing stored in your browser. You can verify this in your browser's developer tools.

What our host records

The site is served by Cloudflare, which keeps standard server logs — IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time. This is ordinary for any website and is used to deliver pages, keep the service running, and defend against attacks. We do not use these logs to build a profile of you, and we do not attempt to identify individual visitors from them.

Cloudflare retains these logs on its standard schedule, which is a matter of days to a few weeks depending on the log type; see Cloudflare's own privacy documentation for specifics. We do not extend or export them.

Downloading the software makes a request to the same infrastructure and is logged the same way.

The contact form

Our contact form works differently from most. It does not send anything to us or to a form service. Instead it opens a draft in your own email program, filled in with what you typed, which you then choose to send or discard. Nothing leaves your computer unless you send it yourself. (If you do send it, your own email provider handles the message under its own terms, as with any email you write.)

When you email us, your message and address arrive in our mailbox, hosted by Microsoft 365. We use them to answer you, and to keep a record of our correspondence in the ordinary course of business. We do not add you to a mailing list.

What we never do

• We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Ever.
• We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
• We do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
• We do not send marketing email to people who merely asked a question.

Our legal basis

Where the GDPR or a similar law applies, we process the data described above on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a website, keeping it secure, and corresponding with the people who write to us. We think this is the least surprising use of your data imaginable, but you are entitled to object; see "Your rights" below.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of vendors who necessarily process data on our behalf: Cloudflare for hosting, DNS, and file downloads, and Microsoft 365 for email. Each handles data under its own terms and security practices. We do not give them information for their own marketing purposes.

Both providers operate infrastructure in the United States and elsewhere, so data they handle may be processed outside your country. Each provides standard safeguards for international transfers, including participation in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the use of standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep things

Host logs are retained on our providers' standard schedules, described above. Email correspondence is kept as long as it is useful for supporting you or for our business records — as a rule, no longer than three years after our last exchange, unless we have an ongoing relationship or a legal reason to keep it. It can be deleted on request.

Your rights

Because we hold little more than the emails you choose to send, exercising your rights is simple: write to us and ask what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to our keeping it. We will comply unless we are required to keep a record, and we will tell you if that is the case.

If you are in a jurisdiction whose privacy law grants you specific rights — such as the GDPR or the CCPA — those rights apply to you automatically; you do not need to invoke the law by name for us to honour them. If you are covered by the GDPR and believe we have handled your data improperly, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority, though we would appreciate the chance to fix the problem first.

The software itself

This policy covers this website. MaxQuickLoad runs on your own computer and connects to your own Maximo system; your business data stays on your network and is never transmitted to us. Its licensing and support terms are covered by your agreement with us rather than by this page.

Children

This is a business site for enterprise software. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If we add anything that changes what we collect — analytics, a hosted contact form, or embedded media — we will update this page and change the effective date above before making the change live.
